Hamburg befindet sich in der warmgemäßigten Klimazone und ist durch Seeklima geprägt. Die Sommer fallen hier kühl bis mild mit um die 17°C aus. Die Winter sind maritim geprägt und für die nördliche Lage eher mild mit Temperaturen um 2°C.
Bergen
Auf den Spuren der Hanse.
Ein idyllisches Bild: Traditionelle Speicherhäuser in warmen Rot-, Gelb- und Ockertönen säumen die Wasserfront in Bergens historischem Hanseviertel Bryggen. Sie dienten den Kaufleuten als Warenlager, vor allem für Stockfisch von den Lofoten. Religiöser Lebensmittelpunkt zur Hansezeit war die Marienkirche, deren prachtvolle Innenausstattung Sie sehen sollten. Wer ein größeres Interesse an Mode, Design und Souvenirs hat, bummelt am besten durch die Galerien der Stadt oder durch die Altstadtgassen mit ihren kleinen Boutiquen.

Geirangerfjord
Mächtige Naturschauspiele
Geiranger ist nach dem gleichnamigen Fjord benannt. Das Dorf erhebt sich über der Fjordspitze und liegt am Fuß eines engen und langgestreckten Tals, von der Form einem Fjord ähnelnd, das zu den schönsten in ganz Norwegen gehört.
Die Stadt lebt fast ausschließlich vom Tourismus. Die Schiffe garantieren den Einwohnern einen nie versiegenden Touristenstrom. Auch die Fischerei - guten Lachs gibt es in den Flüssen, Kabeljau fängt man am besten im Fjord - ist ein wichtiger Wirtschaftszweig. Der interessanteste Ausflug vom Dorf aus ist wohl der zum Djupavnett-See und zu den Spitzen des Dalsnibba-Massivs, denen Gletscher eine weiße Haube verpassen und die seit ewigen Zeiten von kleinen Bächen und schnellen Wasserfällen durchkreuzt werden. Geiranger, die Perle Norwegens, ist vor allem für die Gastfreundlichkeit seiner Bewohner bekannt sowie für seinen beschaulichen Lebensstil, den man auf langen Spaziergängen und während ausgedehnter Angelpartien genießen kann.
In Geiranger herrscht ein gemäßigtes aber warmes Klima, bei dem ganzjährig Niederschläge fallen. Die Jahresdurchschnittstemperatur beträgt 4˚C. In den wärmsten Monaten Juli und August werden sogar Temperaturen über 10˚C gemessen, wiederum zeigt das Thermometer von November bis April auch deutliche Minusgrade an.
Hellesylt
Spektakuläre Fjordlandschaften
Hellesylt, die „Spitze des Landes der Fjorde“, steht aufgrund der geographischen Lage, aber auch wegen der beeindruckenden Charakteristika für die nördliche Region der Fjorde. Die norwegischen Fjorde sind mit Sicherheit eine der aufregendsten, schönsten und außergewöhnlichsten Orte der Welt. Geformt durch schier unvorstellbare Naturkräfte, haben sie sich in mannigfaltiger Variation entwickelt und bestechen durch ihr klares Wasser, die steil abfallenden Bergmassive, die Wasserfälle und ihre Unberührtheit. Besonders zu erwähnen ist mit Sicherheit der Geiranger Fjord oder Hornigsdalvannet, der tiefste See der Welt mit seiner fast mystischen Ausstrahlung. Naturliebhaber können eine Vielzahl verschiedener Sehenswürdigkeiten erleben, die vom Gletscher bis zum fischreichen Fluss reichen und jeden Besucher mit einem Staunen zurücklassen.
Das Klima ist gemäßigter als die nördliche Lage eigentlich vermuten lässt. Der Golfstrom hält das Eis von der Küste fern und sorgt im Winter für höhere Temperaturen. Viel Feuchtigkeit bringen die Südwestlichen Winde aus dem Ozean.
Alesund
Stadt des Jugendstils
Warum auf dem Festland wohnen, wenn es auf dem Wasser viel netter ist? Das kleine, aber feine Ålesund verteilt sich über mehre Inseln, die allesamt durch Brücken und Tunnel miteinander verbunden sind. Doch das ist hier noch lange nicht die einzige Besonderheit. Nachdem ein Feuer im Jahre 1904 mehr als 800 Gebäude vernichtet hatte, entschied man sich, die Stadt im damals hochmodernen Jugendstil wieder auferstehen zu lassen. Nur rekordverdächtige drei Jahre später erstrahlte Ålesund in neuem Glanz – und Skandinavien ist seitdem um ein städtebauliches Juwel reicher. Bei einem Besuch im Jugendstilzentrum in der alten Svane-Apotheke erfahren Sie alles über den Neuaufbau der Stadt und können das elegant-verspielte Design des Art nouveau bewundern. Natürlich ist die umliegende Landschaft mindestens genauso schön. Aber das versteht sich in Norwegen eigentlich fast von selbst.

Stavanger
Mit ihren alten, weißgestrichenen Holzhäusern wirkt die Altstadt von Stavanger heiter und freundlich. Bei diesem Anblick fällt es schwer zu glauben, dass genau hier der Wikingerfürst Harald Harfågre in einer blutigen Schlacht die Herrschaft über ganz Norwegen erkämpfte. Heute ist man in Stavanger bedeutend friedlicher und widmet sich lieber seinen Geschäften. Und die sind ziemlich einträglich: Norwegens Ölhauptstadt gilt als die reichste Stadt des gesamten Landes. Für Besucher liegt der wahre Schatz allerdings in der herrlichen Landschaft, die Stavanger umgibt. Auf einer sportlichen Bikingtour entlang dem Hafrsfjord können Sie die malerische Küste erkunden und einen Zwischenstopp am eindrucksvollen Sverd-i-Fjell-Monument einlegen. Drei riesige Steinschwerter, die hier in den Fels gerammt stehen, erinnern noch heute an Haralds Sieg.
Kein Land vergleichbarer Breitengrade hat ein solch mildes Klima wie Norwegen. Hier wirkt der Golfstrom geradezu wie eine Warmwasserheizung, die die Küste auch im Winter eisfrei hält und für beinahe maritime Verhältnisse mit milden Wintern sorgt. Die warmen und sonnigen Sommermonate locken in Stavanger viele Besucher an die schönen Strände. An der Westküste liegt die Durchschnittstemperatur bei 1,7 °C im Januar und 16,1 °C im Juli. Allerdings zählt die Westküste auch zu den regenreichsten Regionen Europas.

Das kleine, aber feine Ålesund verteilt sich über mehre Inseln, die allesamt durch Brücken und Tunnel miteinander verbunden sind. Doch das ist hier noch lange nicht die einzige Besonderheit. Nachdem ein Feuer im Jahre 1904 mehr als 800 Gebäude vernichtet hatte, entschied man sich, die Stadt im damals hochmodernen Jugendstil wieder auferstehen zu lassen. Nur rekordverdächtige drei Jahre später erstrahlte Ålesund in neuem Glanz – und Skandinavien ist seitdem um ein städtebauliches Juwel reicher. Bei einem Besuch im Jugendstilzentrum in der alten Svane-Apotheke erfahren Sie alles über den Neuaufbau der Stadt und können das elegant-verspielte Design des Art nouveau bewundern. Natürlich ist die umliegende Landschaft mindestens genauso schön. Aber das versteht sich in Norwegen eigentlich fast von selbst.
Mit ihren alten, weißgestrichenen Holzhäusern wirkt die Altstadt von Stavanger heiter und freundlich. Bei diesem Anblick fällt es schwer zu glauben, dass genau hier der Wikingerfürst Harald Harfågre in einer blutigen Schlacht die Herrschaft über ganz Norwegen erkämpfte. Heute ist man in Stavanger bedeutend friedlicher und widmet sich lieber seinen Geschäften. Und die sind ziemlich einträglich: Norwegens Ölhauptstadt gilt als die reichste Stadt des gesamten Landes. Für Besucher liegt der wahre Schatz allerdings in der herrlichen Landschaft, die Stavanger umgibt. Auf einer sportlichen Bikingtour entlang dem Hafrsfjord können Sie die malerische Küste erkunden und einen Zwischenstopp am eindrucksvollen Sverd-i-Fjell-Monument einlegen. Drei riesige Steinschwerter, die hier in den Fels gerammt stehen, erinnern noch heute an Haralds Sieg.
